We truly need the support of all our friends. Through your financial support, we are able to be a part of the many elderly people who suffer and live in such poor and desolate conditions. Thank you to all who are participating in this vision to care for Nepal’s elderly. Please help us in “ Bringing Darkness to Light” (Jyoti) to the elderly in Nepal.
There are numerous ways to get involved with Jyoti Foundation. We welcome volunteers to help us provide care and companionship to the elderly.
We believe in collaboration. Jyoti Foundation partners with local organisations to enhance our services and reach more elderly individuals in need.
Nepal is a country of highly diverse and rich geography, culture, and religions. The mountainous north has eight of the world’s ten highest mountains, including the highest, Sagarmatha, known in English as Mount Everest. It contains over 240 peaks more than 20,000 ft (6,096 m) above sea level. The fertile and humid south is heavily urbanized.
Hinduism is the official religion of Nepal which was a Hindu Kingdom until 2006 when full parliamentary democracy was established. Hinduism is practised by a larger majority of people in Nepal than in any other nation. Although Buddhism is a minority faith in the country, it is widely practiced especially among the Tibetan refugee population. Buddhism is linked historically with Nepal as the birthplace of the Buddha.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
